Hello and welcome!
I'm Emily Henry, a therapist who works with adults carrying real weight — the pressure of performing at work, the pressure of holding things together at home, and the strain that can build in relationships when there's little left over to give. Maybe you're managing a team by day and a household by night. Maybe you look like you have it all figured out, but underneath there's exhaustion and tension with the people closest to you, or even a quiet, nagging question about whether this is really the future you want.
You don't have to sort through it alone.Whether you're trying to find your footing again or ready to build something different, I'm here to help you do that work.

About me

Hi there! I’m Emily Henry, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Chicago, IL, with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate life’s complexities. My path into this work began with music. Before entering the mental health field, I studied music engineering and later earned a degree in Music Therapy from Berklee College of Music, which led to a formative internship at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2008.After completing my internship I pursued a Masters in Social Work (MSW) at Loyola University Chicago in 2011. My clinical work centers on the intersection of identity, and high-functioning stress, helping individuals build insight, resilience, and sustainable change.

Fees

Therapy is a deeply personal investment in your well-being. I offer a limited, thoughtfully curated practice designed to provide highly individualized, attentive care. To support a range of preferences, I offer the following payment options:Currently In-Network
Cigna, Aetna, and BCBS-IL (PPO)
Out-of-Network Benefits
For those with out-of-network insurance, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for services. Sessions are paid in full at the time of service, and I will provide you with a detailed monthly superbill to submit to your insurance provider.
Many clients appreciate the flexibility this option offers, allowing them to access care while still receiving reimbursement, depending on the plan.
Private Pay
Many clients choose to engage in therapy on a private-pay basis, allowing for the highest level of discretion, flexibility, and personalized attention.
Fees are as follows:
$200 for a 75-minute initial session
$150 for a 50-minute follow-up session
A Note on Privacy & Personalization
Insurance-based care requires a mental health diagnosis, which becomes part of your permanent medical record.
Private pay offers a more confidential experience, free from the administrative and diagnostic requirements of insurance. This allows our work together to remain focused on your goals, with an emphasis on depth, nuance, and individualized care.
