Hi there! I’m Emily Henry, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Chicago, IL, with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate life’s complexities. My path into this work began with music. Before entering the mental health field, I studied music engineering and later earned a degree in Music Therapy from Berklee College of Music, which led to a formative internship at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2008.After completing my internship I pursued a Masters in Social Work (MSW) at Loyola University Chicago in 2011. Today, I specialize in working with men, women, and members of the LGBTQ+ community who find themselves caught in negative cycles involving alcohol, drugs, sex, and/or gambling. My clinical focus lies in the intersection of addiction, identity, and high-functioning stress.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) mandates all organizations with safety sensitive employees to have a drug and alcohol policy which include pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, reasonable cause, post-accident, return-to-duty, and follow-up testing. If you have failed an alcohol and/or drug test, there will be steps that need to be taken in order for you to return to duty. The process begins with an initial evaluation, a successful completion of the treatment recommendations as directed by the SAP, and a follow up evaluation. My fee schedule for a SAP evaluation is outlined below:Initial SAP Evaluation : $350
Follow-Up Evaluation: $350Click on the icon below for more information about the DOT return to duty process .
I do not take insurance and that is rooted in your privacy and care. All insurance companies require a diagnosis, and for many professionals, a formal diagnosis in your permanent health record may not align with your future goals. For that reason, I charge a full fee for service while maintaining ethical and confidential care.
My fee schedule for an individual session is outlined below:75 Minute Initial Assessment: $200
60 Minute Follow Up: $150Alternatively, if you would like to use your insurance, I partner with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get 60%-80% back for out-of-network therapy sessions (typically PPO plans). Have your insurance card ready and click on the link below to check your benefits.
