Hello and welcome.
I’m Emily, a passionate therapist and addictions specialist helping individuals in high-pressured environments: aviation professionals, C-Suite, entrepreneurs, law enforcement, physicians, artists, musicians, and therapists. You may be in a position with a lot on the line; outwardly successful but internally feeling lost, burned out, or disconnected. I am here to listen, collaborate, and support you through your journey.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals navigating unhelpful, self-destructive, (addictive) behaviors with especially those who have a lot to lose.
Whether you are trying to get back on track or ready to explore a new path, I’m here to help you navigate that journey with privacy and care.

About me

Hi there! I’m Emily Henry, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Chicago, IL, with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate life’s complexities. I work best with high-performing, accountable professionals with demanding expectations, who carry significant responsibility, whether in their careers and in their relationships. My path into this work began with music. Before entering the mental health field, I studied music engineering and later earned a degree in Music Therapy from Berklee College of Music, which led to a formative internship at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2008.After completing my internship I pursued a Masters in Social Work (MSW) at Loyola University Chicago in 2011. Today, I specialize in working with men, women, and members of the LGBTQ+ community who find themselves caught in negative cycles involving alcohol, drugs, sex, and/or gambling. My clinical focus lies in the intersection of addiction, identity, and high-functioning stress.

Fees

I do not take insurance and that is rooted in your privacy and care. All insurance companies require a diagnosis, and for many professionals, a formal diagnosis in your permanent health record may not align with your future goals. For that reason, I charge a full fee for service while maintaining ethical and confidential care.
My fee schedule for an individual session is outlined below:
75 Minute Initial Assessment: $200
50 Minute Follow Up: $150
Alternatively, if you would like to use your insurance, I partner with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get 60%-80% back for out-of-network therapy sessions (typically PPO plans). Have your insurance card ready and click on the link below to check your benefits.
